SAIF: Good Practice Intro

Good Practice Case Studies/Examples from External Organisations

In March 2012 we wrote out to everyone on our contact list asking for good practice examples of accessible information happening in their organisation.  We were lucky to receive several replies and we have listed those on this page. As we continue to receive examples we will categorise them by subject, but for now as there is a small number, we have listed them by organisation.

This initiative was as a result of several requests over the years to share information already created and this is the main aim of the page - information sharing. We have not done this in the past as good practice can be subjective and what is designed for one person may not be accessible for another.  However, with this very much in mind, we are happy to showcase the examples organisations have provided to give you an idea of the type of work being done in this area.

Usually SAIF will provide downloads in PDF, Word and HTML as well as in alternative formats, however as we are relying on external organisations these downloads may only be in PDF.  In general, alternative formats are available from the individual organisation on request.  We have asked organisations to consider plain text versions.

Work is still ongoing on developing this resource so any on how you think it could be developed would be very useful.  We would like to thank those organisations who took the time to respond.
