Telecommunications Services for Disabled People

How do you go about locating that piece of information you're looking for? Most people start by making an initial phone call.

OFTEL, the Office of Telecommunications, has just issued a consultation exercise on telephone services for disabled people.

The consultative document reviews the measures currently in place to assist disabled people and makes proposals to ensure that, as far as possible, disabled people have access to the same basic level of telephone service as everyone else.

OFTEL are looking for the views of a wide range of interested parties and comments are invited by 3 April 1998. The document can be requested from
